DFW Birth Doula Services
As a birth-agnostic birth doula serving families in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex, my goal is to help prepare you for your labor and birth journey through informational, mental, emotional and physical support tailored specifically to your needs and desired birth outcome. Below are some specific areas we will focus on throughout our engagement.
-
Regardless of how or where you give birth, adequate preparation is key in helping achieve your desired birth outcome. In the weeks leading up to your birth, we will use our in-person and/or virtual prenatal visits to discuss your birth and postpartum goals, review information and resources tailored to your unique birth scenario, and get hands-on with physical comfort measures and positioning to ensure you feel well-informed, confident, and empowered going into your birth.
By working closely together, I can help ensure that your birth experience aligns with your goals and values, leading to a better birth outcome and a more positive childbirth experience overall.
-
During labor and delivery, my primary objective is to ensure that you feel 100% supported, 100% of the time—physically, mentally and emotionally. I will be on call a minimum of two weeks prior to your due date, and will be available for on-call labor support whenever your “labor day” arrives. Whether you want me to help guide you through early labor at home or meet you in active labor at your birth location, I will be there to support you however you need, whenever you need.
During active labor and birth, I will help guide you through a combination of phased positioning, movement, rest and relaxation to facilitate positive labor progress. I will also collaborate with you and the rest of your birth team to ensure that your birth preferences are taken into account, and that informed consent regarding any procedures, augmentations or interventions is maintained throughout the process.
-
Postpartum care is essential in helping ease the transition to new parenthood. Having someone experienced in preparing families for the realities of the postpartum period, can greatly reduce stress and anxiety for the new parents, while promoting maternal and family wellbeing.
As part of our birth preparation process, we will discuss important newborn care topics such as feeding and sleep expectations, what to expect and what to look out for in the early days and weeks with your baby, and postpartum recovery expectations for the birthing person.
After the birth, I will conduct (1) in-home postpartum visit to help ensure your new family is off to a good start, and offer any physical, emotional or informational resources as needed.
-
Breastfeeding in the early days of new parenthood can be quite the learning curve for everyone involved. Having experienced lactation support during this crucial time can be essential in helping set your breastfeeding journey down the right path from the beginning.
My services aim to provide expert advice, education, and practical tips to help you overcome breastfeeding challenges, and establish a successful breastfeeding relationship with your baby.
During our in-home postpartum visit, I can help assess common breastfeeding issues and recommend various remedies according to your needs. I can also connect you with a trusted lactation consultant for additional breastfeeding assistance as needed.

DFW Postpartum Doula Services
As a postpartum doula serving the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex, my focus is on providing care that centers the mother/birthing person's physical, emotional and spiritual well-being, as well as the overall wellbeing of the mother-baby dyad in the immediate time following birth through the first birthday. I also help facilitate the entire family’s adjustment to the new household dynamic.
I offer (4) postpartum doula packages with both daytime and overnight shifts available, with the ability to customize an offering based on your family’s needs. While my services are tailored to fit each individual family, below is an overview of ways I can support your family’s postpartum journey.
-
My role as your postpartum doula is to ensure you have access to all the information you need to make the best decisions for your family. From infant care to mama care, and yes, even family care during this sacred period, I will help connect you to evidence-based informational resources for any and everything you need.
-
The importance of ensuring the new mama is deeply nurtured physically, mentally and emotionally during the postpartum period cannot be overstated. Her wellbeing during this sacred time sets the tone of the experience for the entire family. My role as your postpartum doula is to help assist with the physical and emotional aspects of recovery, with special consideration for the “First 40 Days”, while also providing companionship and nonjudgmental support as you find your footing as a new mama, whether it’s your first or fourth time around.
-
Whether breastfeeding/chestfeeding, exclusively pumping, formuIa feeding, or some combination of the above, I am here to support your feeding journey in any way you need. If you need assistance with getting (and keeping!) the perfect latch, learning the paced bottle feeding method, or ensuring there’s a steady supply of prepared formula and clean bottles, I’m your extra set of expert hands.
-
For brand new parents, having an experienced guide to help you navigate the new reality of life with a newborn can be life-changing. As your postpartum doula, I can assist with modeling/teaching you the basics of caring for your newborn. This includes: diapering and monitoring output, soothing techniques, reading your baby’s cues, and how to provide/encourage opportunities for your baby to meet their growth and developmental milestones.
-
While the new mama and baby are undeniably the stars of the postpartum show, this journey will inevitably impact the entire household. A crucial role I will play as your postpartum doula is supporting the entire family’s adjustment to the new normal, including partners, siblings, other family members, and even pets. Helping ensure the household continues to run smoothly is just one way I can help relieve some of the mental and physical load, so you can focus on what matters: enjoying this beautiful time as a family. My services include tasks like shopping and meal prep, light housekeeping, sibling care and pet care.

DFW Placenta Encapsulation Services
Many birth givers who choose placenta encapsulation report benefits such as improved mood, increased energy, enhanced milk supply, and smoother hormonal transitions during the postpartum period. Emerging research and clinical discussions suggest that placenta consumption may also support iron replenishment and hormone regulation in the immediate days and weeks after birth.
I offer professional placenta encapsulation services within the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex following recognized industry standards and safety protocols so you can feel at ease with your choice to use the benefits of your placenta as part of your holistic postpartum care plan.
-
While research is limited and studies have not conclusively shown proven clinical benefit, the anecdotal reports from families who choose this service are incredibly consistent. Many who encapsulate describe:
More stable mood
Decreased emotional crash in the evenings
Feeling “more like myself” sooner
More ease with the hormone shifts of day 3–5
A feeling of “being able to cope” more consistently
Increased sense of calm
Support with energy and stamina in recovery
Perception of increased milk supply
-
I follow strict, APPA-approved safety protocols aligned with professional placenta preparation standards:
Chain of custody & temperature control: I collect placentas only after my clients provide consent and handle them with personal protective equipment (PPE); collected placentas are refrigerated promptly and handled within FDA Food Safety guidelines.
Heat-processing: The placenta is thoroughly steamed and dehydrated to food safe temperatures and durations per recommended industry standards to reduce microbial risk.
Sanitization: All work surfaces, tools, and packaging meet APPA sanitization protocols.
Screening & contraindications: I will not encapsulate placentas when contraindications exist (see below).
Education & informed consent: You will receive an informed consent form that explains reported benefits, known risks, and instructions for storage and use.
Contraindications (when I will decline service)
To protect you and your baby, I do not process or encapsulate placentas in the following situations:
Known or suspected bloodborne infections in the birthing parent (e.g., untreated HIV, active hepatitis B/C where documented risk exists).
Positive Group B Streptococcus (GBS) with neonatal infection concerns or if the newborn has signs of infection within 24 hours after birth.
Placental abnormalities that affect sterility or integrity (as assessed with your care team).
If the placenta has been stored improperly (e.g. left at room temperature beyond the safe timeframe).
If any of these apply, I will explain your options and support safe alternatives (e.g. cord keepsakes, placenta prints).
If you have questions about a specific medical condition and whether it is a contraindication, I will review it with you and, when needed, advise you to consult with your care provider.
